MYSORE: In what appears to be a planned crime, a woman was found murdered in a city lodge in Lashkar police limits on Wednesday.
Police said she was strangled with a wire by her male companion. The woman aged around 25 checked in along with a man on Tuesday evening and had booked a vehicle for sightseeing for Wednesday, according to employees of the hotel next to the police station.
The incident came to light when one of hotel employees went to inform them after the tourist vehicle arrived at the hotel.
Inspector Rajanna said the man has given his name as Mukesh. He vacated the place just before dawn on Wednesday. It looks like he had come prepared for the crime. They are yet to establish the identity of the woman.
